Overview

Introducing the next evolution in the Raspberry Pi series, the Raspberry Pi 5 takes performance to unprecedented heights, surpassing the legendary Raspberry Pi 4. Equipped with a revolutionary CPU that boasts 2-3 times the processing power and a significantly enhanced GPU, this model also features upgraded camera, display, and USB interfaces. These advancements are powered by Raspberry Pi's proprietary RP1 I/O control chip, marking its debut in a flagship product. To cater to our valued customers' requests, Raspberry Pi 5 now includes two pivotal features for meticulous sales tracking and potential returns:

1) Each board features a distinct marking on the upper side of the PCB, clearly identifying the memory density for easy reference (as depicted in the graphic above).
2) Every board is embossed with a unique serial number on both the PCB and the individual carton, enabling precise tracking of shipments to specific customers. This entails recording serial numbers during the outbound shipping process. Full shippers containing 180 boards include an external barcode for streamlined content recording.

The newly designed Raspberry Pi 5 case is an evolution of its predecessor, featuring enhanced thermal management to accommodate the higher power demands of Raspberry Pi 5. It incorporates a variable-speed fan, seamlessly powered and managed through a dedicated connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB.

Our case debuts in the iconic red/white color scheme, with a sleek black/grey variant set to launch shortly after.

Accessories - 27W USB-C PD Power Supply

The innovative 27W USB-C PD (Power Delivery) Power Supply delivers up to 5.1V, 5A, empowering the Raspberry Pi 5 to support a broader array of peripherals. By default, the total power drawn from the four USB ports is capped at 600mA, but this limit automatically scales up to 1.6A when the USB-C PD Power Supply is detected.
This versatile power supply also provides 3A @ 9V, 2.25A @ 12V, and 1.8A @ 15V to PD-compatible devices, making it an economical choice for various general-purpose, non-Raspberry Pi applications.

Accessories - Active Cooler

For users who demand sustained heavy load performance without a case, the Active Cooler offers an alternative cooling solution. It combines a robust metal heatsink with a variable-speed blower, powered and controlled via the fan connector, and attaches to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB with sprung pins into dedicated mounting holes.

Accessories - RTC Battery

The power-management IC on the Raspberry Pi 5 includes a real-time clock and charging circuitry for a button cell, ensuring the clock remains powered even when the main power is disconnected.

We provide a high-quality Panasonic ML-2020 Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery, complete with a two-pin plug compatible with the battery connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB, and a double-sided adhesive pad for secure attachment inside a case or at a convenient location.

Accessories - Camera and Display Adapter Cables

The Raspberry Pi 5 is equipped with two four-lane MIPI connectors, each capable of supporting a camera or a display. These connectors utilize the same 22-way, 0.5mm-pitch 'mini' FPC format as the Compute Module Development Kit and require adapter cables to interface with the 15-way, 1mm-pitch 'standard' format connectors on our current camera and display products.

We offer mini-to-standard adapter cables for cameras and displays in lengths of 200mm, 300mm, and 500mm to suit various configurations.
Please note: The camera cable is exclusively for camera use and should not be used with a display. Similarly, display cables are not compatible with cameras.
