Overview

Introducing the next evolution in the Raspberry Pi lineage, the Raspberry Pi 5! This stellar addition catapults the series beyond the heights of Raspberry Pi 4. Boasting a CPU that’s 2-3 times more powerful, a massively upgraded GPU, and enhanced interfaces for camera, display, and USB, the Raspberry Pi 5 is a technological marvel. This leap in interface innovation is powered by Raspberry Pi's proprietary RP1 I/O control chip, marking its first use in a flagship product. In response to popular demand, this new iteration includes two innovative features to streamline sales tracing and potential return processes:

1) Each board will feature a marking on the upper side of the PCB, allowing identification of the specific memory density fitted to that board (visible in the graphic above).
2) Every board comes with a unique serial number on the PCB and the individual carton, enabling precise tracking of boards shipped to customers. This requires recording serial numbers during the outbound shipping process. Full shippers containing 180 boards will also have an external barcode to catalog the contents of each shipment.

Accessories - Raspberry Pi 5 case

The redesigned case for Raspberry Pi 5 enhances the thermal features to accommodate its higher power consumption. It integrates a variable-speed fan, powered and controlled by a dedicated connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB, ensuring optimal cooling.

Initially available in our iconic red/white color scheme, the case will also be offered in black/grey.

Accessories - 27W USB-C PD Power Supply

The new 27W USB-C PD Power Supply delivers up to 5.1V, 5A, enabling Raspberry Pi 5 to support a wider range of peripherals. By default, the total power drawn from the four USB ports is limited to 600mA, but this is automatically increased to 1.6A when the USB-C PD Power Supply is detected.
Capable of delivering 3A @ 9V, 2.25A @ 12V, and 1.8A @ 15V to PD-compatible products, this versatile power supply is a cost-effective solution for various general-purpose uses beyond the Raspberry Pi.

Accessories - Active cooler

The Active Cooler offers an alternative cooling solution for users running the Raspberry Pi 5 under sustained heavy loads without a case. It combines a large metal heatsink with a variable-speed blower, powered and controlled via the fan connector, and attaches securely to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB using sprung pins into dedicated mounting holes.

Accessories - RTC battery

The power-management IC in Raspberry Pi 5 integrates a real-time clock and charging circuitry for a button cell to maintain the clock during power outages.

We offer the Panasonic ML-2020 Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery, featuring a two-pin plug for connection to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB and an adhesive pad for easy attachment inside a case or any other convenient location.

Accessories - Camera and display adapter cables

Raspberry Pi 5 includes two four-lane MIPI connectors, each supporting either a camera or a display. These connectors use the 22-way, 0.5mm-pitch 'mini' FPC format like the Compute Module Development Kit and require adapter cables to connect to the 15-way, 1mm-pitch 'standard' format connectors on current camera and display products.

We offer mini-to-standard adapter cables for cameras and displays in lengths of 200mm, 300mm, and 500mm.
Please ensure you do not interchange camera cables with display cables, as each is specifically designed for its respective use.
